3rd Bonn Conference on International Development Policy, Jan. 30/31 2012, Bonn, Germany (800 participants)

The Project “Networking in Europe – Local Governments meet the MDGs” was presented at the 3rd Bonn Conference on International Development Policy that took place in Bonn in January 2012 (http://www.bonn-conference.nrw.de/bonn-co_english/index.php). The Bonn Conference on International Development Policy was jointly organised by the State Government of North-Rhine-Westphalia, the City of Bonn and numerous scientific institutions and NGO partners. Under the slogan "Global lifestyles – new pathways for development policy" more than 800 delegates discussed about the effects do lifestyles and consumption habits in the rich industrial and service-based nations on development in countries in the South. The conference also looked for new possibilities to combine different strategies with a focus on development (e.g. Millennium Development Goals, Rio +20 etc.) from a joint perspecitive on development policy. The presentation of the project provided the opportunity to inform and get into contact with delegates from many different nations worldwide.
